The Royal Hideaway Playacar: Relaxing on a Perfect Beach in Mexico

There is something about the sand on the Yucatan beaches… It’s so powdery, white and soft that I don’t mind getting it on my belongings and accidentally bringing some home in my bag. It offsets the clear, bright turquoise water and helps create that tropical seascape that you often see on computer screen-savers (well, its on mine at least).

Hotel Rio Sagrado in Peru: Gorgeous, Tranquil, and Off the Beaten Path

The minute we drove up to this charming little hideaway the atmosphere changed for me (I am not talking about the infamous Andean altitude, though that certainly was obvious once we disembarked from the plane in Cusco).
